Ferrars Hall Care Home is pleased to announce that they have been nominated for an Age Space Ageing Allies Award within the dementia services category. They have been selected for this award due to the wonderful support service provided at the regular Dementia Cafes which have been created to support their community in and around Huntingdon.
‘Age Space wants to shine the spotlight on everyone doing incredible work across the county for the older population of Cambridgeshire. Ageing Allies are groups and organisations that are going above and beyond in their efforts to support older people. They can help in many ways, from running a local lunch club or home care service to offering a dementia advice service, or an accessible exercise group.’ Commented The Team at Age Space.
‘We are proud to be nominated for this award, we are delighted that our staff team has been recognised for all the hard work involved in making our Dementia Cafes a success. It is important for our residents to retain connections with their local community. ‘Our team of wellbeing coordinators work very hard to ensure that all our residents can experience diverse and meaningful activities whilst maintaining ties with their local community. Many of the people in our care are long-time residents of Huntingdon and the surrounding areas.
