Staff and residents at Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing Home in Welwyn Garden City enjoyed a fabulous Christmas party, complete with singing, dancing, music and lots of delicious food. On the morning of the party, residents were surprised by some special visitors. Mr and Mrs Claus left residents beaming with joy on their travels around the home. They made sure to visit everyone on all the floors at Oakview to spread the festive spirit.
At the party, guest singer Lydia sang the greatest Christmas hits from over the years. Residents Henry & Margret particularly loved singing ‘Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer’ and donning antler headbands to get into character. Family members, staff, and even Mr & Mrs Claus joined in the singing and played along on musical instruments. After the music and dancing, everyone was ready to enjoy the delicious buffet spread made by Chef manager Anthony Whitfield and his kitchen team.
