Residents at The Grove Care Home near Grimsby recently held a themed day around the much-loved TV show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Care and Nursing Homes in the Country Court group enjoyed a dancing themed month in September. At The Grove Care Home in Waltham residents and staff took to the floor to show off their favourite dance styles. There was an eclectic mix of dance genres from ballroom dancing to modern dance. The care home also had two special resident judges posing as the famous show's panel.
‘Strictly Come Dancing is a very Popular TV Show here at The Grove. The show is watched and followed by all our residents and their families religiously. Our community in Waltham is also linked to the TV show as The Clifton family is from this area. Many will remember the professional dancer known on the show as ‘Kevin from Grimsby’! We all love Kevin here and the Halloween show is always special’ Commented Customer Relations Manager Ros Wells.
‘Our wonderful Wellbeing Coordinator, Julie, dressed up and danced with our residents. We also had 2 head judges, Betty and George, to score each dance. They both had so much fun pretending to be past and present show judges such as Len and Shirley.’ Commented Home Manager Kelly Lofts.
