Westfield Care & Nursing Home family afternoon tea

Westfield Care & Nursing Home in Boston recently hosted a family afternoon tea for residents and their families. The event celebrated life, love, and laughter with live music, a raffle, and delicious food and drinks. Home Manager Shirley Woods said: “Everyone enjoyed the cakes, sandwiches, and drinks that Chef Manager Andrew Herriott and his team made. The sunny weather also made the day more cheerful.”

One of the guests said: “We had a great time with our loved ones. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the home was full of fun. The singer also performed songs from Elvis to Robbie Williams that made us all dance.”

Resident Timmy sang and danced with the music, spreading joy and happiness. Home Manager Shirley said: “It was also nice to see how close our residents are, like Kath and Linda who stayed together all afternoon.”

Resident Mavis and her family loved the music. They were amazed by how Mavis reacted to the songs. Wellbeing Coordinator Amanda said: “Events like these create memories that last forever.”

Another sweet moment was between volunteer Wendy and her husband Paul, who lives at the home. They danced slowly and remembered some of the songs. Wellbeing Coordinator Erika said: “Timmy and Phyliss also had a slow dance together, which was very cute.”
