Meet the family: A chat with Elaine

Moving into a care or nursing home is a big change of life for many people. However, getting to know the staff and fellow residents will help you to settle in and make friends. Swapping life stories is a great way to get acquainted and help you to feel part of the family.

Meet Elaine who lives at Priory Court Care & Nursing Home in Burnham-on-sea

Elaine is seventy-three and says she is most proud of her two children, Tonya and Mark. Music is her great love, she is a talented musician and enjoys playing the piano. She also likes to be creative and enjoys painting and colouring, she describes her life as colourful too!

"I have had a wonderful life and spent lots of time socialising and even taking part in carnivals!". 

Elaine loves to travel and her favourite destination is Greece where she's enjoyed many good holidays.
