Residents at Ashwood Care & Nursing Home in Spalding were delighted to welcome friends, family, and visitors to their care home for a day of entertainment and delicious food. Ashwood hosted their Summer Gala this weekend, raising almost £450 for their resident’s comfort fund which will go towards extra special day trips and outings.
Residents and visitors relaxed whilst enjoying entertainment from Marcello a local singer and had wonderful BBQ in the sunshine. There were craft stalls selling sweets, ornaments and books, and funfair-style games like the ring toss to play. The catering team from Ashwood Care and Nursing home provided a fabulous buffet and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
“We had a wonderful afternoon,” said Home Manager, Anita Malkveica. “We’d like to thank everyone who came along and supported our event. Our residents had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed welcoming so many visitors to our home. It was wonderful to be out in the garden enjoying the music and sunshine”.
