The Lord Mayor was given a tour of the nursing home and was very impressed with the high standard, she spent time meeting and chatting to residents. The Lord Mayor then presented staff with their awards and congratulated them on providing a warming and loving environment for residents to enjoy.

"We’ve had a wonderful day” said Deputy Home Manager, Margaret Richards “It’s been a great opportunity to open our doors to the local community and show people what life is like at Heartlands Nursing Home

The day of celebrations started with a coffee morning which residents enjoyed with their families and local people. Everyone enjoyed a delicious selection of cakes baked by the hospitality team and entertainment was provided by local harpist Lizzie Peacock.  Afternoon celebrations continued with vocalist Jordan Williams, an award-winning Michael Bublé tribute act who sang to residents.
